GP2 - Modem Play

1 post by 1 person · 09 Oct 1997 - 09 Oct 1997

Hi, my brother has finally upgraded his PC, to a Pentium 266 with a US robotics Sportster Flash modem (the same setup as myself). At the weekend we tried to get the modem play working on GP2. When we set the baud rate to 19,200, we kept on getting unrecoverable sync problems. We then set the baud rate to 9200 and this worked on the second time, but I understand that this will be slow. Questions 1) Is there any patch or utility to make modem play less flakey. 2) what baud rate should I be running 3) what modem should I be selecting (robotics type 1 or 2) 4) what frame rate should we be aiming for (as I understand modem play slows it down) thanks in advance.
