Modem help

1 post by 1 person · 13 Sep 1997 - 13 Sep 1997

Hey folks, I need some modem help for N2 mulitplayer. Well, actually my brother needs the help. He and I have done some modem racing off and on recently. All of a sudden, his modem is set on com3 and irq11. He downloaded a sound card driver recently, and I suspect it used Irq5 which is what he used to be on. Nascar 2 does not support irq11 in mulitplayer. I suggested he move his modem to com2. Well, turns out his N2 in mulitplayer setup only gives him com 1 and com 3 as options. My N2 gives me com 1 and 2, but not com3 - wierd. Anyway, I know this subject has surely been kicked around before, but would appreciate any ideas or advice I can give him. I suggested he try to change the settings on his soundcard, and get his modem back to irq 5 on com 3, which his N2 does support. Would appreciate any help, -- Don Burnette
