This has to be my biggest letdown so far this year. Monster Truck Madness looks and plays faster then this with D3D. I have a P166 with Sceaming3d and 3dfx. I'm sorry Sierra but I'm not impressed. Lets all hope ALOT of improvements are made before final release. This stinks. Depressed

Could someone tell me where to find the demo. I checked at Sierra but had no luck. Thanks in advance. Bud

I only have a P133 with a Sierra Screamin' 3D and this runs BETTER than MTM for me! Loren Team SAVATS/MIRacing

You must have some config problems here. I've got a p133 32meg, Rendition. Hi res mode, I've got everything on auto detail, minimum 20fps before it's start turning down detail. If I'm by myself on track all the details stay on most of the time. When other cars are on the screen I lose textures on everything except cars, road, and smoke (I keep these always on). My frame rate hovers around 20. 1. Make sure you have Direct X 5.0 and that hardware acceleration is enabled from the control panel Direct X icon. 2. Make sure you have the latest bios update for your card as well as the latest drivers. 3.Your p166 is intel. I made a big mistake by buying a cyrix 200 a few months back. It's slower than my 133 in anything 3D. I'll stick with intel from now on. Hope this helps, Kutt
Howdy. I'm having trouble with the SODA demo. I read in a post here that it could be run in non 3d mode so I dloaded it, now I must ask: does non 3d still require a rendition board??????? I have a Matrox Millenium w/4 megs and can't get it to load. I keep getting an Illegal operation error with these details. OFFROAD caused an invalid page fault in module <unknown> at 0000:baa01601. The track editor loads just fine and looks like it might be more challenging than the game itself, or at least as fun. ;-) I'd really like to try this monster out if I can but am not planning on buying a Verite based board at this time. Ah c'mon Eric, couldn't you have been a little gentler?? Ya didn't have to floor him like that did ya?? maybe this following method would have softened the blow for him. dos is dead....live with it... :)

Dave Henrie Not Today! ThankYOU Pepsi Club. remove nospam. from email address
I think it was a fair request. After all, we are running ICR2, N1, N2, etc in DOS. If this sim is built upon the DOS4GW technology, then maybe DOS is a good answer. If DOS is dead, then I want to run it under NT. -- Best Wishes!!! Robert Huggins Raleigh, NC
I've tried that and it didn't work either. I've recently had LOTS of probs with my puter as a result of, near as I can tell, www.tune-up.com & the CleanSweep software available from there. I guess I just used it wrong somehow. Sigh. ;-( Steve >> Howdy. Well I finally got tired of the madness heaped upon me by using CleanSweep (still not sure how I messed up) and re-formatted the ole HD and re-installed everything. the SODA demo now works fine. Way cool. In 640x480 with all textures turned to auto and no other vehicles in site I can usually manage a fair amount of graphics. this is non accellerated btw. Haven't tried 320x200 yet but that should do the trick. Now if I can get Win95 to recognize my homemade wheel I'll be in business. ;-) Steve
