I you seen Streets Of Sim City and Carmageddon?
I don't know how good Streets Of Sim City is, but it sounds very
similar to the game you mentioned, and its on shelves now.
Carmageddon has you driving through a city running people over.
The car's physics model is really good for such a goofy premise.
