Proof of Huggins Cheating

7 posts by 7 people · 19 Jul 1997 - 21 Jul 1997

Hello Everyone, I have a little file for everyone to look at.I was in a race tonight at C***te on Hawaii it had a couple people in itincluding myslef GT86,my teammate Smokkinu, and the cheater himself RHuggins.First off let me state taht I have ask Huggins not to join any races that he sees me in before he joins, and to say he can't even do that. But anyway the race at C***te was 89 degrees 5% damage on pace off.I did my qual run which wasn't that bad,not my best but not bad a 186.8,my teammate took the pole with a blistering 187.1 and Huggins qualified 3rd with a 186.0 I think. But anyway Huggins took the lead right fromt he green flag dropped with his turbo boost button he even ran into smoke and was sideways in grass but still accerelated to over a 100 before he got out of the second dogleg. He pulled away from me after I got past smoke on firstlap exiting turn 4 the weird thing is he was running real high in the turns and slowing to around 162 to 163 in turns before he got on gas again these is subtracting the 2 mph speed difference on replays (when you watch a replay of a race the replay adds about 2 mph to the speeds you see if you hold down the shift key).I would get back on gas at anywhere from 167 to 171 in which I would pull 2 to 3 tenths in each turn but would lose it on the straights because Huggins has this burst of speed exiting turns that is unbelievable where I would go into the first dogleg at 184 to 185 and exit it at 187 to 189 he would enter the dogleg at over 190 and cross start finish line at 200 mph or greater. Also it's not a steady burst of speed he has it jumps from like 170 to 190 then back down to 180 something then to 200+ and so on.You will have to just see the replay to see what I am talking about so I am attaching it to this note, and you all will see what I seen and know that Huggins is a cheating loser and papy needs to do something about him,but myself and my teammate and many others have talked to the people at Papy and we have even talked to the man himself Dave Matson and nothing ever get's done. But if one of us gets fed up with this from months of holding it in you get where you can't take it anymore and you lose your cool like me and smoke did one night and did something very stupid.First off it was a Atlanta race with pace lap and huggins kept slamming on the brakes tring to get smoke to run into the back of him on pace and running into the side of my car under pace tring to wreck me (huggins had pole I was second and smoke was third) and we got fed up did a very stupid thing and lost are temper and turned are cars around and went sround the track backwards and tried to wreck huggins to say we did many times I hit him atleast 10 times and it never did any damage to his car and yes damage was turned on because I had to get fixed a couple times :).So what does Huggins do he runs to Matson and tells him and shows him the replay of us going backwards but ofcourse not the whole replay of him tring to wreck us and gets us suspended. But if anyone sends in a replay of huggins cheating or someone tells Matson about it nothing gets done to him.Smoke and I have talked to Matson on the phone at length about Huggins once or twice and other people on Hawaii have sent replays in to Papy all for nothing because they will not do anything about it.I understand that they can't figure out how he's doing it or how to stop it.But there is oneway to make him stop and thats to kick his sorry ass off Hawaii. But Matson and Papy act like they don't even care. But when I was on the phone with Smoke after the char race he raced a Atlanta at 50 Degrees with Huggy and Smoke qualified at a whooping 187.3 which is very fast for 50 degrees but it was only good to take second because Huggy did a 190.5 which is impossible at that temp legally because Smoke is well known has being the fastest man at Atalanta he hold the qual record for over 90 degrees and under 90 degrees his fastest time is a 191 at 120 degrees so how in the hell is Huggy going to do a 190.5 at 50 degrees.I will ask Smoke to post the standing and replay from that race aswell. But anyhow take a look at this replay and you'll see what we have been complaining about for so long.Have a nice day and race hard. GT86 Robert Platts P.S. Papy your Patch Car2 sim really sucks!!!!!!! I also plead with you to do something about Huggy,so that you still care about the custumers that you've been treating liek ***because of all this.Alot of us are just of fed up with you as we are with Huggy and the IVGA 's sim is starting to look a better place to race lately. P.P.S Sorry to all who were in that Atlanta race I mentioned earlier me and Smoke just lost control for one race and we will try not let it happen again and please excuse the bad grammer,I wrote this at 3:30 in the morning.IF YOU WANT TO SEE THIS REPLAY JUST E-MAIL ME AND I'LL BE MORE THAN HAPPY TO MAIL IT TO ANYONE

Remember, Papyrus is not here for you; you are here for Papyrus. They will survive with or without you. you are just a lowly customer who spends money on their product. You should feel lucky that they only charge $50 for their product. You should feel lucky that they even let you buy it. They will tell you it is worth hundreds of dollars. It doesn't matter that you spend alot of money on Hawaii. You are lucky that you have the ability to race on their immaculate system. In all seriousness, Papyrus continues to display their***poor customer relations time and time again. These guys make alot of money and I really don't think that they realize who gives it to them. Well Sunshine (Papyrus) with your attitude you will soon have to pay the consequences. Congratulations on alienating more customers. Pull your head out of the sand and start listening empaticly to the people who pay your bills.

Maybe you should be happy with what you have. Looks to me that Papy are working very hard to satisfy their customers. -- Dave Bowers

I know this has been said before many times. Hawaii is/was a prototype for the NROS. Papy has never charged anybody for the use of Hawaii nor have they ever made any money on it. I assume that Hawaii is no longer needed as a prototype and that Papy has gathered all the data they need from it except, maybe, cheating data which can be very dynamic. Most prototypes die once they've served thier purpose. I think part of Papy's reason for keeping the system running (at a loss) is because so many beta testers (not customers) enjoy using it (at no charge!). Thanks Papy! I assume that they can't justify applying any more resources to Hawaii considering it has served it's purpose and is now just a money drain that will die as soon as the NROS is up and running anyway. Why not apply resources to making the NROS EXTREMELY cheat resistant since it's the product that is being produced (Hawaii isn't the final product). Please don't forget, if you use Hawaii, your not a customer since your not paying Papy anything at all for the use of the service. Your still a beta tester. Do your testing, report your findings and wait for the NROS. On the NROS you'll be a customer and you'll have every right to complain to Papy. You can bet I will if I find a competitor has consistantly unrealistic acceleration curves etc... Maybe, just maybe, the reason some cheaters are allowed free reign on Hawaii could be because the more ridiculous the things they do on the beta service (Hawaii) the more ammo Papy has when they don't allow these individuals to run on the NROS. Or... they don't have code in place on Hawaii (hopefully on the NROS) that can reasonably prove cheating at this time and that there are legal ramifications to kicking them off the service at this time. Either way, I've gotta believe that these jokers are not going to be allowed to ruin something as big as the NROS! Mr. Robert Huggins once posted on this newsgroup that (paraphrased) determining what cheating is and isn't is a very complex issue. I agree but must say that it would probably somewhat less complex if he solicited the advise of his mother. There's no doubt that cheating makes the production of a service like the NROS an extremely complex process for sure! Of course, all of my comments about Papy/Hawaii are pure speculation and long winded but I just felt compelled ;-) Mike Radler Hawaii Ace League [link lost in import]

Dave, You are right!!! To all: Don't feel bad. I have been in the software development biz for a while now and have found that a majority of software companies (including the mighty Microsmurf) don't give a rats about customer service. Most will use their earnings to pay the high programmer fees and into new products while they chintz on tech support, manual writing, and customer support. I couldn't tell you the countless hours (no days) I have spent on the phone, on my dime I might add, waiting for a support person to talk to me and end up getting a worthless answer or a "gee it has to be your hardware" or have the tech support person talk in circles until you finally hang up in disgust without my problem solved. This is an industry wide problem and the only way to stop it is to not buy the product. That aint going to happen. Papyrus does make a good product at a VERY reasonable price. I know what it takes to make products such as theirs. Too bad they fallow the industry standard in customer service. Of course, that's why we have (need) newsgroups such as this. -Crash > >Remember, Papyrus is not here for you; you are here for Papyrus. They will
