Does anyone know the secret of how to pit in GP2? Every damn race or
qualifying (use the "Q" to stop, but still can't come into the pits) I
can't get the car to pit for fuel and tires... I simply run out of fuel
trying and trying... I back up (getting it to go forward again is a real
PIA) and try and try, but the car will simply hit the pit wall and
bounce back onto the track...
Today, I was racing in Magy Cours in the lead with 5 sec over H2F and
the pit light came on, so I was almost out of fuel, and here came the
pit entrance, I turn left hard, and hit the pit wall and bounce onto the
straight away.. Not enough fuel to make it around again and attempt to
back up and go and back up and go... ran out of fuel.... Race over...
How do I get the car to pit?????
Thanx
Ric
Hit your Enter key. You should be able to go in then.

evidence ... yeah, whatever! trying to be soooo PC... how do you know
he pirated the game! how do you know he did not lose the manual, his buddy
borrowed it, his son pucked on it, or simply the manula *SUCKED* big time.
what if you are at work and remember that annoying detail that you need to know...
What could be faster than a post that will get you the answer in less then an hour,
then you get home and play the game without even looking up the manual.
you couldn't tell the guy to hit the "return key"... you had to be a smart ass.

Use the pit stalls

fuking Micropose watch dog?? On whose behalf do you speak in the third
person on?
On page 21 of the Fuking manual that came with My Pirated copy, it
states that the pit light conditions and the meanings of each. On page
24, Under the side heading of "The Pits" it never states what in
required to make the car turn into the pits.
On page ii, it refers to the Pits on page 24, and refers to page 8,
which in reality, the info is written on page 7, says to simply drive
onto the yellow line and it will take you in, and be sure to drive
slowly and watch for your pit crew, one must break before the jack
stand..
Now ***, that was a pointless exercise of reading the damn manual,
b/c at Magny Cours, the car still hits the pit wall and bounces onto the
track, at fast speeds and slow..
I've proved that I own the game, now prove that your not the fuking
*** that started the childlike bullshit attitude...
The newsgroup isn't yours to rule and judge, if I had known that I would
simply be told to read the damn manual again, then I would have never
asked in the first place, since its advice doesn't work at all the
tracks and I didn't want to dig the fuking manual out!!!!!

most of the information in the index being printed on the page previous
to the one stated. I didn't see the "enter" key, and it didn't work at
the Magny Cours track, I still hit the pit wall (both at high and low
entry speed) and bounced back onto the track only to run out of fuel
again.. Even with the little pit light on, the car doesn't want to go
into pits, instead I keep hitting the pit wall, the car simply doesn't
want to turn in....
Thanks for the help

it even with steering help! Slow down when approaching the pits and you'll
get in.
> Try it again, but this time slow down, you got brakes, use them.
Are you using steering help? If you are, then try hitting the ENTER key
on the lap you wish to pit on. If your using steering help, this will do
it!
That's WEIRD, with a capital WEEE!!!!
I've got GP-2, and the only time I get an accident in the pit, is while NOT
seeing the pit light's on, and then I get pulled towards the pit, usually
resulting in me crashing into the barrier.
I've never NEVER EVER had a problem with entering the pit, even when the
light was off. Maybe you're just driving TOO fast when entering the
pit-lane.
I think this is a very very unlikely problem.

Turning off 'steering help' will let you have complete control, never
being pulled toward the pit.
Berg
Hi.....I have never had any trouble pitting? are you sure you are
pressing the *enter* key, and the pit lane light on the dash is
illuminating? and you are sure you are not driving too fast?
Try it on some different tracks and see what happens, or are you only
having problems with one track?

Thanks for all the suggestions. It seems that I was simply trying to
enter to a to rapid of a pace, however, I still can't pit at Magny
Cours, every time I slow down sssSSSSlow, someone hits me in the ass and
I miss the pits again...

Yes, I know, but my joystick is so sensitive, a little goes a heck of a
long way.
Does steering help hinder while trying to do a super hotlap? In other
words, can I have better lap-times with steering help off?
