has anyone ever opened the effects.dat file and looked through the flags, well i have and i found that the red flag is in there along with green, white, yellow, and black. How come i never saw the red flag during the game. Has anyone seen the red flag appear during the race or have an explanation for not being in the game? thanks, mike

I already had a thread on this and Sierra said that the files were added but the option never turned on. -- PolePosition#3 My Unofficial Dale Earnhardt Fan Page: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/4578/nascar.html The Dale Earnhardt Fan Ring: http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/4578/dalering.html "If you don't believe, you don't belong." -- Alan Kulwicki's Credo

The most usual cause would be for rain. However, they have been used to "close" the track so that safety repairs can be done to the track and the barriers. It could be that Papyrus had thoughts of using this for NRO. Or it is just there cuz the programmers wanted to include everything they could, even if wasn't going to be used. You will probably find references to rain also... -- **************************** Michael E.
