I have been playing around with the *.dat files in NASCAR2. I have unpacked
some of the *.dat files for the tracks and found numerous other files. The
files included ar *.MI4, *.MIP, and *.3DO. Could someone please tell me what
each of these files are and what program I would need to edit them. Any help
someone could give me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Bud
The 3DO files are the 3D polygon models upon which some of MIP and MI4
textures are mapped.

I am wondering the same thing, can the wheels be painted?
Yes!! Please help...I would like to possibly see if I can paint the wheels
different colors like the real cars (ex. Pettys red, Jarretts blue,
etc.)...or would ALL the wheels be painted the same color if it were
possible to paint them at all? Has anyone else thought of trying this?

All of the wheels share the same MIPs, so all of the wheels would change
color at once.

There is One groupf of files that "paints" wheels and tirs for N2.
Changing/painting them a different colour would render ALL the cars'
wheels'/tires the same colour!
