To those that have responded to my posts about having trouble running N2
in W95 ,I have finally solved the problem. For all those that think the
rendition boards are all pretty much the same, it ain't so. I had the
Creative labs 3DB PCI and could not get the game to work to save my
life. I had tried changing the card before because I read of others
using the K6 and a rendition board. So today I swapped out the 3D PCI
for a Intergraph card and ta da.... it worked. I talked with creative
labs and they took the position that there cards are designed to run on
INTEL PENTIUMS at a bus speed of 66mhz ONLY! The intergraph on the
other hand not only workes on the AMD chip it also runs flawlessly at
83mhz. This might not mean much to alot of you but for those writting me
also looking for the answer I hope this helps. It got me running again.
