I have recently bought f1 and it doesnt work on a cyrix based system . I have put my rightous 3d card in a friends pentium 166 and every thing went fine , so i put it back in my p166 32 mg ram matrox 2mb card and rightious3d and it wont get past loading the game . i tested it on another friends cyrix and s3virge3d card and same error message apears {illegal instruction at address 00464085 }. the sofware shop told me to download a patch for the cyrix chip still no go . So i have emailed psynosis twice and no reply from their support team , any other suggetions would be appreciated peperpcug.org.au

I received a one line reply back from them stating that it will not work with Cyrix cpu's. They didn't reply to my other question asking that if it doesn't work, will they be coming out with a patch. So I assume not. Its business practice like this that is a major reason behind people pirating games. You buy the game and find it doesn't work, the company doesn't care, and your out $50

Three questions: 1) Does it state on the box that it requires a Pentium? 2) If so, why did you buy it? 3) If you mistakenly bought it and it doesn't work why don't you return it to the store for a refund.

Keep trying Psynosis. You shouldn't feel forced to buy Intel.
