Modem racing problems in N2

When connecting with my buddy in N2 to modem race, the calling computer will experience AI cars disappearing and reappearing, also the spotter seems to talk about wrecks and cars spinning in front of you that aren't there. We have tried reducing graphics, cars heard, no spotter, and even set the field to only 5 cars and they still disappeared and came back. Would this be in our connection or could something else be causing this that could be fixed? We can run N1 with no problems. We get latency numbers from .06 to .13 in both N1 and N2. The .13 says "Poor connection" but N1 will still run fine for us at .13. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Which version are you running, we used to get the same thing even with a .10 latency but we found the problem. It was version 1.21 we reinstalled went back to 1.2 and problems were gone. This could possibly be your problem. I may even still have the 1.2 upgrade around here somewhere if you need it E-mail me and i'd be glad to send it.
