This has probally been covered before but if so I missed it. After I
installed the N2 patch from Sierra, I can't add positive cross weight when
I'm setting up my car. Can someone please tell me how to correct this.
Thanks.
Have you tried version 1.03 of the patch?

I had the same problem, but with the second patch it seems to be fixed.

I had this problem. In the end, the best way to solve it was to reinstall
nascar2 in a different directory, repatch it, and then replace your
layout.dat file with the newly installed and patched one. I tried several
other methods that took less time, but this was the one that worked.

I've heard of this problem from several people but I don't know what the
scoop is; most people haven't seen a problem with cross weight after the
patch. The only lead I'd heard is that your LAYOUT\LAYOUT.DAT file might
not have been updated if you didn't have an unmodified copy of it
installed, and without the fixes in layout this is one of the problems you
might run into. Questions - did you do a full or minimum install?
Rendition or normal video? Had you made any changes in LAYOUT.DAT? Do you
have V1.02 or V1.03 patch level?

I had the problem with the first patch, but the second patch cleared it up.
I hadn't modified the layout.dat, NO rendition, and full install.

Hmm. Well, then I'm stumped. Still sounds like the best bet is a fresh
install.

Tony - thanks for clarifying that issue, I suspected that was the problem
but I couldn't confirm it. I believe there are a couple other potential
problems if LAYOUT.DAT isn't correctly patched, one of which is that you
still can't see more than 60 cars when editing entry lists even though the
patch should allow you to see 128.
