N2 Page Fault Errors

Had a hard drive crash a few weeks ago, and replaced my Maxtor 2G with a Quantum 2.5G. I reinstalled everything exactly as it was, and everything works great except for N2. When playing, some sounds (not always the same sound) turns to total noise - happens anywhere from the first few laps to the first few hundred laps. When I exit the game, I get a DOS/4GW Professional Error (2001) page fault (with tons of addresses listed). I'm running under Win 95, but have been doing so since December and never had any problems til now. The only changes, other than the drive, are N2 patch installation, adding the Mirror lines in to fix my rear view, and adding about a dozen cars from ICWWCars (sp?). I've tried running in DOS, re-booting in DOS, and performing a DOS only installation. Also have moved virtual memory off of my C drive (where N2 is installed) to my D hard drive, changed memory allocation under the N2 icon's properties to 16M extended, etc. All with no luck. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks for any help you can provide. Barry
