MTM and Diamond 3d 3000

3 posts by 3 people · 05 May 1997 - 11 May 1997

I have a Diamond 3d 3000 and when trying to play MTM, I am unable to use Hardware 3d acceleration. If I try to do so, when loading the race, it dumps back into win 95 with a message that says "unable to load texture". I can play it with any combination of graphics complexities selected if I disable the 3d acceleration. Any ideas?? If you email me, please edit the return address. My apologies for making you do so, but I was getting bombarded with spam. Thanks! Scott -- ~~~~~~~miutnepatteleportdotcom~~~~~~~ Please edit the return address to reply be email. Thanks.

I had a similar problem with a Stealth 2000. To fix it I had to download Diamond's newest driver and then re-install DirectX3 AFTER installing the new driver. Worked fine after that, but if the 3000's 3D is no better than the 2000's you're not missing anything.

I had the same problem. If you try and play the game without selecting full screen it bugs out. Set it to full screen and it works. You got that right. I can hardly tell the difference between unaccelerated and accelerated with my 2000 (accept of course the frame rate drops :-( I gotta get a 3dfx or a rendition really soon! Tony
