Subject: 2 MPH is just 375 milliseconds at Michigan
Drivers:
375 Milliseconds, 1/3 second, 2 blinks of the eye doesnt seem like much
does
it. But did you know that at Michigan 1.926 mph. The information below
came
from the IVGA FASTLAP contest for NASCAR 1. You can see that Pekka
Heino
ran 194.324 mph lap and the 15th Driver was only .375 milliseconds
behind
and was 1.926 a lap slower. Now it is really interesting to me of late
because
some drivers are able to lap the tracks 375 milliseconds faster than
someone
else they get labeled as cheaters. Think about it they are only 375
milliseconds faster. I think if they really had implemented a cheat
they
might be like 1 second faster. Just one second faster at michigan would
be almost 6 mph. Heck I can find 375 milliseconds just in the racing
line.
So if you are having a bad day at a track and someone is running faster
think about it first before you start calling a person a cheater and ask
yourself whether you have really spent the time to be fast at that
track.
I have ran NASCAR for over 2 years and I have really been bummed out
myself
and I busted my ***to run alittle faster. I couldnt and I was
suspected
the worse. And than I found alittle advanatage, shock setting, a line
and
all of a sudden I was running those speeds. I would have really felt
bad
if I would have called those people cheaters, just because they did
there
homework. I could not run of 182's at Atlanta for a year and a half and
all of a sudden BOB PETERS sent me a setup that got me in to the 187's.
I was able to tweak that setup and change the chasis to a Pontiac and
now
I can run 188.500's in the race. When I was running 6 mph slower
believe
me it almost drove me crazy.
FYI...

I get beat by good drivers on a regular basis. The only person I have
refferred to as a cheater (publicly) is RHUGGINS. I have two good
reasons for making this claim.
1. He has admitted to cheating in the past, so either he's a liar or a
cheater... makes no difference to me.
2. The strange things that only his car does in the replays go well
beyond a few millisecs and are too consistant to be considered warping.
I think a couple of the of the reasons people jump to label you as a
cheater is that fact that some fast drivers claimed that thier killer
setups became public knowledge shortly after they submitted FASTLAPS
to the IVGA (you) and now you have a bit of a reputation (deserved,
undeserved, I really don't know, but you do). Secondly, while I think
defending unjustly accused people is noble, given your circumstances, I
don't think it helps your reputation to defend known and suspected
cheaters constantly... IMHO.

setup I mean none is going to pull 4 tenths of a sec on me and another car
on the backstretch at Dega by himself without cheating.

Don,
I race for fun in my spare time. I win some, I lose alot too. I really
don't think I'd have much fun if I knowingly raced you. So your right, I
will not show. Just to be a sport I will concede victory to you and you
can tell all of your friends that I was afraid to race you without
getting any argument from me.

Hey,
Its me the loser again!
Here's a couple thoughts, kind of a losers eye view on a couple things.
Correct me where I'm wrong, as these are only my opinions, which even
losers have a right to in America (Thank you veterens)
Hawaii is a beta for a system that will be called NRO. The testing is
mostly over? Papy doesn't really spend much time keeping up with Hawaii?
(there is a lot of profanity now, Some guy named DrewB was intentionaly
wrecking every car in the field last night, it seems pretty out of
control lately). NASCAR will be the "official" sanctioning body of the
NRO. NASCAR is BIG business $$$$$$$$. NASCAR is not about who builds the
fastest car anymore. Its about $$$$$$$$$$$. When NASCAR thinks about NRO
they think about the 150,000,000 people who watched it on TV last year
and the however many million who have PCs. I predict ad campaigns. I
predict promotionals. I see a shit load of NRO drivers in 5 years time.
I think NASCAR sees things like this too and they see even more $$$$.
If any of this makes sense, then here's what else I think. NASCAR really
doesn't care in the long run about the beta testers Hawaii drivers and
what they think. About Huggins Hawaii or anything else at this point.
I know its all news and very important to us but we are after all a tiny
portion of the population. NASCAR/PAPY is going to decide who runs and
who doesn't. Not any of us. We can give input and maybe they'll listen
to some. Plenty of input has been given on this topic already. Only
reason Im mentioning it is if you are serious about this game and you
are serious about the NRO. Then people are going to have to get used to
the fact that they're not in Kansas anymore. A huge multi bizzilion
dollar COMPANY is going to be sanctioning this thing and running the
show and they are in for one reason and that is to make money. I'm sure
they will take steps to protect the sport if someone is cheating, so Id
quit worrying about it. Maybe they'll even knock a legaly fast guy down
a few pegs to keep it "interesting" (isnt this what we hate about them
now? Personaly I think its more interesting to see how *&^*&^ fast you
can get a car going without killing your self, than watching a bunch of
sleds racing door to door.) Bottom line is, if Huggins cheats he will
be dealt with by them, so you have no problem, so why worry? If he
doesn't cheat they will let him run and you won't be able to change it
so maybe you should worry about that instead? Based on their actions so
far I would not assume that he is not going to be there on opening day.
He doesnt run in PROHCS,HGNS, HAL etc etc. He cant mess with your skill.
(I was amazed these leagues are all full of 12 and 13 and 14 good job
guys!) If you must run in pickups why dont you use another ID if your
worried about one track position? As far as other league races, dont let
it ruin your day! Just dont give the PW to anyone you don't want to
race.
Oh yeah one last thing. There are way more copies of N1 than there are
hawaii drivers. I bet there is some guy from east wang bang Montana with
way to much time on his hands and a copy of N2, who is going to show us
all what a "fast lap" really is.
Good Luck anyway.
