N2 Changing Cars?

6 posts by 6 people · 29 Mar 1997 - 15 Apr 1997

Just moved up to N2 from N1, big difference! Is there a way that I can change what car I am driving? If I wanted to drive the #24 or #3 car, how do I do it?

Piece of cake John...start N2 go to DRIVER INFO, pick NEW LIST, the first car added to the list will be the one you drive. You can also download a utility from one of the many great Nascar2 pages that will allow you to edit an existing list of drivers...You're not able to edit an existing list within N2. If I remember correctly the utility is called N2HQ. It and other good stuff are available at: http://www.git.net/simspeed/ Now, why would you want to drive the #24 car...it's way more fun to drive the #3 car and put the #24 into the wall. :) Hope this helps Gary M.

You have two choices. The first is the same as in N1, export the PCX from paintkit and import it to replace your current car. You'll need to rename the PCX before importing it (XT_PLAYE.PCX for The Player). Secondly you can just put a new car at the top of the entry list, as you always drive the first car. --

The car you Drive is the first one on the list , so simply (in the game) put the (The Player car) into the left side of the screen and put the car you want to drive in the place of The Player
Quoted text (8 lines)>>The car you Drive is the first one on the list , so simply (in the game) >>put the (The Player car) into the left side of the screen and put the car >>you want to drive in the place of The Player >It's a little bit harder than that. If you move the first car in the >list at right over to the left, it effectively loses its place at the >top of the line. If you were to move the car back to the list at >right, it would be added at the bottom of the list.
<snip> There is a utility out called N2HQ. It allows you to edit drivers, driver lists, car set ups, tracks, and race settings, all from Windows95. You can place a driver ANYWHERE in ANY list you have, or create new ones fromn scratch. It can be found at most of the major NASCAR 2 sites.

Or just put an "X" in front of the car PCX file you want to drive... Regards, Steve
