Does anyone please have, or know of the availability, of a 1993-season carset for IndyCar racing II? I'm just rediscovering the delights of this sim (running in pseudo-DOS on WINXP) and would like to incorporate the 1993 season, which featured Nigel Mansell. Thanks in advance for any info. Bruce.
My public thanks to Chris for providing this set. Armed with my trusty Gravis Analogue Pro, I am reliving 1994! :) Bruce. "Bruce Kennewell" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:40cd1ff2$[email hidden]...

The red sidepods/white body worked well. The all black cars of Michael Andretti and DeMatta were, I thought, the worst looking of all the Newman/Haas Havoline/Texico cars, until that is...I saw this year's Pacific Care scheme for Bruno. dave henrie
I agree, Dave. Bruce. "Dave Henrie" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:[email hidden]...

I am much to foggy to remember, I think back to the original ICR box cover...a Lola at Longbeach. I guess that would be Mario. So 93ish the Newman\Haas cars were Havoline white/REd...then when NIgel left they became Havoline with white/Black. Tracey took over for Mario correct? When Michael Andretti became the lead driver he drove an all black Texaco and then Dematta took over and kept the black. I've got too many new mods to sort thru and league practice to really dig into this...:) White cars with red and or blue trim always caught my eye. The BTCC Nissans of the 90's, the Valvoline Cup car of Mark Martin(based on Robbie Gordon's champ car paint scheme) The British BMW in the ETCC and the RMR Lola prototype... Monochrome cars really don't jump out when viewed on a TV. The Silver Visteons and Audi's suffered from 'one color' blandness. Finally Visteon cars got some Orange to compliment the silver. The White Champion Audi Lmp car easily stands out when compared to factory Audi's. Even the gorgeous Purple fade of the Velox Audis can't compare when viewed thru a TV.. I suspect the Velox paint looks stunning in person but on the screen, rather boring. dave henrie
Well, the 1993 Havoline cars of Mario and Nigel had white upperworks and BLACK sidepods, not red. Unless the photos I'm now looking at (1993 Indy 500) are incorrect. Bruce. "J.D. Ellis" <[email hidden]> wrote in message news:U%7Ac.1353$[email hidden]...
