Anyone wishing to try out a beta sound file that changes the motorcycle noise in ICR2 to that of an Formula 1 car, can do so at: [link lost in import] (Formula 1 (with correct body shapes) cars will be there later in the week) The Sim Project is an area that will be dedicated to the enjoyment of ICR2. Future projects include IMSA/WSC cars using the ICR2 sim, and a re- vamping of several ICR2/N1 tracks. Any comments and suggestions are welcome. :) Marc J. Any comments and suggestions are : welcome. :) This is indeed good news. As it now appears "official" that ICR2 is a "dead" product. Well at least for "official" upgrades and bug fixes. Since we now know that Sierra/Papyrus seem to have no intentions to fix some of the bugs, I think an excellent project is to fix the AI pitting behavior for Long Beach. This is one of the places where the 1.02 patch broke more than if fixed. I believe this is probably fixable by modifing the PIT.LP file. I do not understand how these files work, but I do know that we have a few people out there who do. Maybe we can have a discussion here in r.a.s. on how these LP files are constructed and how one goes about modifying them. It now appears that any improvements and "bug fixes" for ICR2 now rest in our hands. -- **************************** Michael E. Great news (now if I didnt have this laptop) When I do get a new comp this year sometime I hope ICR2 will be rejuved. Those yellow bugs need to go as well as Long Beach prob. BTW has anyone found out how to remodle the tracks ala Rio, Calif and homestead? This would be the best (toughest) project for you boys.

I don't think we'll be able to fix the bugs (LB may not be a big deal though), but CA would be a snap (mostly new images), and Rio/Homestead might be a nice project (wanna pay me?<g>)...I think we'll just stick to small tasks for the time being, and if things go OK, see what happens. :) Best Regards, Marc

Please excuse me, but it's been a while since I've peeked in here. Could someone fill me in on The Sim Project? From what's left of this thread, I've read about new sounds (?) for ICR2, and the possibility of IMSA WSC capabilities. __o _-\<,_ Cosmo Potapoff

Hey, you could use pieces of Pocono for Rio, wide straight, short kink, check it out! Mike

As it stands, a track's shape can be changed, but not added to or deleted from. What I need is someone who's a guru with 3d files (primarily 3d Studio). I may have acces to this program, and once I become familiar enough with it, I may be able to do something other than simply changing the shape of an object. However, this is pretty low on the priority list, as I'm trying to figure out some of the bug-fixes...This may be the more important route, since I wanted this project thing to make the game more enjoyable. Geez...I'm starting to sound like a software developer!! ;) Thanks for the comments and support. :) Best Regards, Marc The Sim Project http://members.aol.com/simproject
