I have owned my T2 since August of last year, and nothing has ever broken
or gone wrong, until recently. When coming out of a turn (specifically
atlanta) the car is a little bit loose, so right before the front stretch I
jerk the wheel to the right to keep the rear end behind me, then back to
the left to steer straight down the straightaway. The problem is whenever
I turn quick right, then back left, it has a glitch when I cross the center
on the way back, and it jerks right again, usually throwing me into the
wall for a second, then I get control again. Is this the pots getting
finicky, and if so how much does it cost to fix it?
Also, which thrustmaster e-mail account do they answer? I thought there
which nobody ever answered. Which one should I use?
Thanks.

If he's using Win95, then he would most likely get "the jumps" even if
his wheel was new...The combination of cheap pots<g>, and Finicky95
sometimes will tell you something's up when it isn't...

Sounds like you need to replace the pot to me.

I've seen a post saying you need to replace your pot. Before doing so,
get some tuner/switch cleaner and clean/lubricate the steering pot.
I've had my T1 for years and this has always cleared up similar problems
for me. Besides "lubricating" the pot should help extend its lifetime.
Check a electronics supply store or Radio Shack for the cleaner.

I have the same problems.....
I'm not sure of the problems stated previously but with Thrustmaster steering
products 1 thing is neccessary.
You need a greasless lubricant to spray the pots periodically on troubled
units. I have now had 8 units and the problems I've exerienced were all pot
related troubles.
Usually the throttle, once in a while the steering pot. You can tell that you
have a problem inside N2's calibration screen. You should be able to press
and derpess either brake, thtottle of wheel and watch the down arrow move baby
smooth across the bar. If it acts eractically then you need a lub job on that
pot. The arrow should move smoothly and logically.....
Simply get to the outside of the pot a squirt a tad, go back to recalibrate
and watch the miracle.
I finally figured out this was the only fix for it as I've returned 4 of the
units at first due to this problem. I finally settled for what they give ya.
Sooner or later your thrustmaster will need a squirt and it does the trick
100% and is really no biggy. I wonder how many people have settled for a
twitchy sterring wheel since this problem isn't brought up around here very
often and I figure that the current rate of wheels being released atleast 50%
of the units will suffer this within two weeks of owning it. So it's a very
widespread problem. It makes a big difference in your racing performance to.

The best bet is to go to any electronics supply place (even the dreaded
"Radio Shack" qualifies in this instance), and get the trusty can of "Tuner
Cleaner". It cleans, AND it lubricates.
