How about a magazine devoted entirely to the racing sim community??? Make it similar to the Stock Car/Circle Track/Hot Rod/Car Craft/Racer format. I have seen a mag at Comp USA for flight sims; why wouldn't this idea work? We could have details on most of the major racing leagues on-line and off, interviews with game designers, readers could send in pictures of cars they have created (a "Reader's Ride"-type thing)(have maybe a dozen or so per issue). There could also be articles on setting up cars for the various sims (maybe get into more detail on setting up for different weather conditions...hint, hint...), go into detail on painting cars for the various games (ICR 1 and 2, N1 and 2, GP 1 and 2...), what programs people (or sites such as IWCC) use (and how to use them) to paint cars; utilities for all the games, etc., etc. There could also be a monthly update on standings in the various leagues; what leagues/series people are forming for 1997; and then follow up with race results the following week. Include a CD with the premiere issue with car sets, individual cars and/or templates, utilities, set-ups, etc. What do y'all think? Does someone have access to get the ball rolling on this...???
Well since there is this thing called the web would it not be easier to do it on the web, i.e. Sim Racing News??

Yeah, well, I was thinking more along the lines of an actual MONTHLY magazine, with pictures and articles. That way, everything is all in one place at the same time; you wouldn't have to search the Web. Or even have a monthly magazine with monthly URL updates...SOMETHING...
