Take a look at Thunder Valley Racing. It's a web site that features women
race car drivers in a number of racing series. The site includes bios,
images, schedules, articles by women drivers, and a newsletter for fans of
women in racing. The URL is:

Don't forget that little lady that set the Pro Stock Motorcycle record
last year. And then there is a new Top Fuel Driver this year that is a
17 year old Female. She won first round at the last race (forgot where
it was).

And, yes, Desire Wilson drove in a number of F1 races, and won one of
them!

Does it have any effect on your spelling? ;-)
I like women in racing....In a car, on a boat and in a train....Oh yes, Sam
I am.
If I remember correctly both Desire Wilson and the late Lella Lombardi
competed in Formula 1 back in the '70's....

Well, you might criticise their spelling, too.
But given that you can't spell "physically," I guess most women on
this ng would say you were dead wrong...

failed to qualify for that :(
Cheers,

Don't forget Lella Lombardi, who raced in F1 in the early 80's. Also, Giovanna Amati
raced for Brabham in early 1993 in F1. Both of these ladies were Italian, and that
may say something but I don't know what....

There is another italian woman race driver I know about: Tamara Vidali.
She drives SuperTouring sports car (like BTCC) and won a few
races in Italy; last year she was driving an Audi in the german
championship, I know she had some good results but I don't know
about victories.
The only problem with her is that a lot of people complains that
she is too much aggressive !
Now there is another woman in the italian minor championship who is
supposedly quite good. There is also another one from Switzerland
(Surer I think), who drove in the italian championship for BMW last
year.
Bye,
Luca
