I just recently got and it and seemed to come with this Mwave system. I understand the system but it seems kinda stupid. I can only connect Nascar at 14.4, and I can't connect it a 28.8 even though I have a 28.8 modem. If I connect at 28.8, I have to turn all of my sound off, so the game won't crash. If I connect at 14.4, I only Sound Blaster Capability and No MIDI. There has to be a way to fix this. If anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. Thanks, John O.

I've got an Aptiva too, and the situation you described sounds pretty much like what I experience. I'm not much on tech issues, but I don't think there are any good workarounds for this. i do know that ugrading from 8 to 16 meg allowed me to run in SVGA in "telegame" mode (the only way to use the modem, ie. race on hawaii.) If anbody does know of any way around these problems I'd love to hear it, but I think the reality of the situation is that when you ask the Mwave to do more then one thing at a time you reduce it's capabilities. One day soon I'm going to stick a soundblaster in here. I've already got a dedicated gamecard. -- Ed "A friend of mine suggested I try America Online, I said 'But I already have a computer...'"
