N2 without CD - modem play

3 posts by 3 people · 12 Jan 1997 - 14 Jan 1997

Can you run Nascar 2 without the CD when playing over the modem? I had to insert my CD in order for me to play via modem. Thanks

The answerer in a multiplayer game needs the CD. Additionally, if you have anything but the full install, you need the CD. (That part seems obvious enough...) ---Jim Sokoloff, Papyrus

I have played nascar 2 multiplayer with a friend. The host computer has to have the cd in to connect/play. This means cd\nascar2 enter then N2. My friend doesn't have the cd. We have raced C***te, Talladega, and Bristol with no problems.
