If people want censor something [or should that be 'sensor' ;)] then theres no problem in my opinion. It's not hurting the 'victim', it's merely allowing certain people to ignore certain other people. I've got nothing against Joel Putty, and if anyone has, stick him on your kill file, it doesn't affect him... -- Dave Bowers

>What is it with some people ? Just because someone has an, erm, unique >writing style and has strong opinions does this mean that they are to >be publicly ridiculed ? I always thought the Internet was one of the >last bastions of free speech in a world where political correctness >and lack of tolerance for opinions which conflict with those of the >"m***majority" have gone mad. It seems I may be wrong. Lots Snipped out. You would make a good lawyer. Point taken and quite fair at that. As of late there is to much winging and flaming. Shane Lansky Hobart,Tasmania Australia

Perhaps there is something that most of you have overlooked. It is quite possible that Joel has a handicap or learning disability that the rest of us are blessed not to have. And if that is the case, he is making a valiant attempt at social interaction that he might not otherwise have. My brother was brain injured many years ago due to an automobile accident and it pisses me off when people make fun of him (and others) due to an unfortunate incident that lasted only a few seconds but will last the rest of his life. Many of you that are so quick to judge would not have the fortitude to last a week in the shoes of the handicapped. Shawn "Koz" Kosloff http://aol.members.com/skosloff/koz.htm P.S. Am I a bleeding heart liberal? Not on your life! Reagonomics is my credo.

For all the people who forgot Mr. Putty's "grand" entrance to this newsgroup, let us do a little research on DejaNews. Keywords "Joel Putty" comes up with 238 posts (at the moment). Carefully examine the articles posted on 11th of December 1996 with a subject like either "h" or "j" by Joel Putty. I found 68 articles like this. Another post of his on the same day (let's call it "the Putty day") reveals Mr. (to be polite) Putty did what he did on purpose: ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Subject: hHhhahahahaha Date: 1996/12/11 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-Ascii Organization: Aye Net Mime-Version: 1.0 Newsgroups: rec.autos.simulators X-Mailer: Mozilla 3.0C-E-KIT (Win95; I) thought id come down to ur leval guys!;) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- He maybe handicapped or have a learning disability (I'm pretty much sure he can't learn anything), but that still does not excuse him for his incredibly poor manners. I don't think there is anything valiant in his attempts at social interaction. I'm sorry, but I will not trouble myself decyphering his wannabe koolness lingo especially since he has proven to be an ***. -TPP

i 4 1 thnk that he has al the rite 2 tlk whtever way he wants. im sure in the reel wrld he is very rticulate and can spel just fin. y r u stil yelin at him and abot this. watt the hel am i tlkin abot. lok at me and the way i tipe, i do just finer then evry1 and im norml.
Ya Ya very funny. It is not a question of 'rites' just simple social interaction skills. If one is a moron then most people will choose not to associate with that person. It has nothing to do with censorship or first amendment so all you Larry Flint wannabies can blow it out your you know what! Unfortunately kill files do not totally eradicate the disease called putty or there would not be an "ask silly putty to vanish" movement. Regards, ---Wayne. > i 4 1 thnk that he has al the rite 2 tlk whtever way he wants. im sure in > the reel wrld he is very rticulate and can spel just fin. y r u stil yelin > at him and abot this. watt the hel am i tlkin abot. lok at me and the way i

What good is Daytona anyways? It's a big ole track. That's like the infatuation with Talladega around here. IMO Dega is the worst track. I'll you do is hold open the gas and go, boring. IMO Best Tracks: Watkins Glen Bristol Sears Point Dover Downs Darlington Charolette Michigan Couple other small tracks are nice too can't remeber which ones. ... Taladega. This is where I put the newbies on. Daytona will probably be closer to Dega than not. Q.B.M.
