SB32PNP with NCR2, will it work ?

I am going to upgrade my sound card from my current SB pro to either a SB 16 PNP or the SB32 PNP. My prefrence is the 32. The setup for NCR2 doesn't list the SB32PNP. While I am still waiting for a patch for the NCR2 so that it will run on my PC properly, I don't want to compound my problem by buying a sound card that isn't supported by NCR2. NOTE: I'm not wanting to start a debate over which sound card is better than another, just is anybody out there using the 32PNP and was it autodectect properly. TIA. Bartman

I have one and N2 works fine, although it says SB16 on the autodetect. -- ______________________________________________________________________ | | | ____ ___ ___| | Mike Schreiner |CNSRL ADMIN. | ---\ / / /__ | |http://pages.prodigy.com/CNSRL | | --\ / /---/_ | | "Mick" on Hawaii |Earnhardt Rules!!| -\/ / / | | "Mick_S" on Ten | | / | ----------------------------------------------------------------------

There's no AWE32(that I have)or SB32 choice in N2 but instead they will autodeect SB16. But it's great because N2 has digitlized sounds like NHL96 so there's no difference between SB16 and SB32. The only games that makes a difference is in Doom/DukeNukem3d/Quake/etc. games. Those games play midi files so there's a BIG BIG BIG BIG difference. SbAWE32 is so great playing midi files but there's no difference between 16 and 32 for digitalized sound in N2(spotter, engine, video)Thanks a lot, [===] Go R. Yeah, the 32 works fine in N2. Heres the deal, the SB32 is a SB 16 with wavetable MIDI added on to it. Anything that supports the SB 16 will run fine. Nascar doesnt use MIDI music, so there is no difference between the 32 and 16. It's still a better deal in my opinion, because other games use MIDI background music, which is about 200% better with the 32.
