Tonight I've been puttering around with Team Player's Spirit of Heat
1950s mod for NASCAR Heat.
To quote the info.txt, "SPIRITofHEAT- 50's Golden era" mod is a full
conversion for NASCAR Heat by Hasbro Interactive, featuring
vintage Grand Prix cars 1950s. Many of the cars present in this mod
were activeon the Grand Prix circuit in or around the 1950-5
timeframe."
I'm very pleased! Obviously a great deal of work went into this
wonderful mod. I'll let the experts analyze accuracy. I'm getting
immersion and fun, what I was really hoping for. Thanks so much to
Team Player for this great piece of work.

Yea, maybe a very interesting mod, but I'm afraid I must wait, because after
some days of trying to d'l it, I never came over 1kB/sec download speed. But
you gave me fresh hope, I will try again
Rolf
Unbelieveable, over 90 kB/sec now, thanks for the post
Rolf
Are there any add-on road courses available for HEAT?
I have downloaded this mod and must say that it is very enjoyable but would
dearly like to run a few more appropriate tracks. :)
Another thought is that SoH50's would make an excellent base for an
historical IndyCar version, representing the roadsters of the 1950's.
(Only problem is that the Indianapolis track is non-existent for HEAT!)
Bruce.
There's an excellent selection of road courses for NASCAR Heat. These
links should fix you up.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!
As I type I am downloading Monza and have already grabbed Donington and Spa
(not the GPL version, sadly, but Spa never-the-less).
I also notice that Indianapolis Speedway is there....it certainly wouldn't
take much to suspend disbelief and imagine running a 1950's roadster.
Regards,
Bruce.
