This game is VERY cheesy. The graphics are maybe a tad better than GP1, and the playability reminds me of those Accolade games put out in the late eighties. Stay away from this one and stick to GP2. The only advantage is that it goes by the 1995 season instead of 1994. Trust me, don't buy this one.

Well I bought this game the other day in the North East for the price of 29.99 UKP, previously having seen it running on a Playstation. Minimum specs are: 486DX4/100 minimum - P90 Recommended MS DOS 6.0 or W95 (DOS MODE) 8 Meg Ram Vesa Compatible SVGA Card Double Speed CD Rom Supports all major soundcards Very much an arcade type game, although there is the facility to set up your car - tyre pressures/gear ratios/wing angles etc. Its not a sim in the way that GP2 is and I don't think that it sets out to compete with that game. Graphics are very detailed and can be reduced/increased to suit the speed of the CPU. 17 F1 tracks to compete on - seem to be true to the real thing. 2 Player Split Screen Option Having played the game for a couple of days I can say it definitely falls into the arcade category. Not knocking the game for that. The graphics are excellent and the game speed is good (I'm using a P100/16 meg) and the action is quite believable. Various driving positions can be used to view the car, i.e. inside the***pit or from a chase point of view. The detail when cars crash is not as good as GP2/NASCAR etc. as you don't see bits and pieces falling off :-). If you after a racing game that is easy to play without having to be a virtual mechanic then this is the game for you. Lets call it the F22 Lightning 2 of the racing scene, i.e. you can climb in and drive straight away. Cheers Steve Whitley Bay North East England

You are confusing the excellent F1 sim for the Playstation (Formula One by Psygnosis) with Eidos Interactive's Power F1, an arcade PC game which is not out for the Playstation. Randy
