Sorry I've been so quiet lately in r.a.s - thanks for the e-mails
regarding my *** by aliens! ;-)
I've been up to my neck in work these past months so I haven't
really had much chance to follow the goings on in this newsgroup
so I thought I'd better catch up a bit.

I haven't got Nascar 2 yet, Jan's supposed to be posting me a
copy soon. I know its probably out in the UK now, but at the time
Jan ordered it for me it wasn't. Sadly being the festive season,
things take a while to get places!
Anyhow, I'll do what I can when I get it, although be warned that
I intend to race on it and not just buy it to take it apart!
As for The Pits, I'm glad you like the changes we made
for the 1st anniversary. I worked ***y hard to make it all work
and I hope to make more improvements as time goes on.
Well thats it for now, but just one last question - what happened to
the proposals to make a second newsgroup for r.a.s?
I hate to moan but I remeber when people talked about sim-racing
in this group (last seen late 1995!). It seems to be filled with more
questions about bugs and why this hardware doesn't work.
In an attempt to cut the waffle in this newsgroup can I suggest that
you e-mail your relevent problems to the games producers and no
post them here? I think if they got half the bug reports they may do
something about it....

Yeah, I know the feeling. Still, it pisses me off when you have to wait
for 2534 new articles to download! ;)
Yep, and hopefully I'll get it too (Nascar 2) when I get some pounds. I
hope Paintkit is better than the original, I wanna do the BTCC97 carset
with it [which can, of course, be found at The Pits! :)].
Yeah, I remember the salad days; when I first joined the internet this
group was all e***ment, speculation about GP2, and track converters
and stuff. Here's to the second coming...
