OK OK, I know everyone wants Indy and Daytona, and neither is looking
particularily likely. But I'd like to know about some other tracks: Let's
see, there are new tracks in Miami, Homestead, Texas, Gateway, California, Las
Vegas. Now some of these are Indy, IRL and/or Trucks, but would still be
nice. Is there a track pack in the works?

Well, I would guess that the Winston Cup tracks would find their way
into a track pack, but the rest of them won't. I'd bet on Texas and
California for sure, as well as an N2 patch included. No sense
changing the formula.. <G>

How 'Bout including a ficticious 2.5 mile high-banked tri-oval to be used
in place of Daytona - so it could filll the gap on the schedule for the
first race and the July 4 race.It wouldn't have to be 'exactly' like
Daytona, but simliar enough to keep us happy (rather than fill the gap with
Talladega and race the same track 4 times during the season - which I don't
think you can do in n2 - or can you?). And, for Indy, perhaps a track
similar to Pocono, but in conventional oval form. Maybe they haven't done
this because Nascar won't license the game if they use fictional courses -
but, there are 'dream' courses in the PSX version.
Just my thoughts,

Just like N1, you can edit the calendar file with a text editor. (There
is no User Interface provided in the game for it, but the format of the
various text files that the user can customize is fairly well-known;
people here on r.a.s. can doubtlessly lend you a hand.)

Since I live in nowheresville I haven't gotten nascar2 yet. I was just
wondering if papyrus included the provisional option and the chance that
a person could miss a race because of not qualifying. Thanks for any
reply.

just add a mile to it in the Sim. Homstead is a 1.5 mile replica of
IMS.

: adding Talladega 2 more times on the schedule and rename it DIS, as for
: Indy, I dont know, Dega and Daytona aint all that different.

Just make brown clouds....allready have white ones!!
I know you've been flamed for weeks on end, but could you at least attempt
to use some sort of grammar? Perhaps with complete sentences, and whole,
correctly spelled, words? Even if it's just to this newsgroup, I'm sure
everyone would appreciate it.

Does this make any sense? If they added a mile to the track, it wouldn't
be homestead. What would they do with the infield? Make it look like
Homestead???or Indy???
