I just completed a race in Nascar 2 last night, and my spotter called out to me a few time and I don't know what he's talking about. What does he mean by "You're racing the car behind you"? As far as I'm concerned, I racing the one ahead of me! Also, what does the bell sound mean? I heard it a few times at the Rock last night running a 25% race. *********************************************** * * * Karl aka The Dobeman * * Clan member of Zealot Wroth * * * *********************************************** * * * 1996 Ninja 500 1995 VW Golf * * 1995 Wife & 1990 Doberman * * * ***********************************************

It means the driver behind you is on the same lap, and trying to pass you for position.

Racing the man behind you is telling you that someone is making a move on you and they are not a lap down. As for the bell I have no clue I heard it too at C***te. -- The wise man can pick up a grain of sand and envision a whole universe, but the stupid man will just lay down on some seaweed and roll around until he's completely draped in it. Then he'll stand up and go, "Hey, I'm Vine Man." Jack Handey. GO #2!

It happens to me whenever I get real real close to another car. Everytime. It's like a waringing that your getting to close. Hasn't everybody heard this? Q.B.M.

I thinks it's just simulated radio noise. "More realisim." -- ======================================= Why Not Visit Brian Nash's Ultimate Grand Prix II Links Page http://www.geocities.com/motorcity/2653 THE ORIGINAL --- ACCEPT NO SUBSTITUTES!
If you have ever listened to a scanner at a Winston Cup race, you would recognize this noise. It is a squeal that you get from interference when you key the mike on a 2 way radio. Yes, it's more realism. After all, that's the whole point to every aspect of this sim. Just like bein' there. Tom

I think it's there on purpose. Sounds just like it does on my scanner at the track. -- +------------------------------+---------------------------------------------+ | Nortel RTP North Carolina |USmail: 35 Davis Drive RTP, NC 27709 | +------------------------------+---------------------------------------------+
: I just completed a race in Nascar 2 last night, and my spotter called : out to me a few time and I don't know what he's talking about. What : does he mean by "You're racing the car behind you"? As far as I'm : concerned, I racing the one ahead of me! But, be careful, if the guy behind you wants to move up a position you had better be racing him also. All the spotter is doing is letting you know that the car behind you is on the same lap as you and would certainly like to get around you. -- **************************** Michael E.
