Hi,
Please forgive us, but our rep from Thrustmaster let us know that they
shipped out a small order of Formula T2's for the Power Mac this morning!
We have six units available that have not been pre-sold. They should
arrive here on Wednesday, and no later than Thursday, and we will ship them
out the same day they come in if you want one! The cost is $139.95 each!!!
The unit will work with the Current IndyCar II for Power Mac, and NASCAR 1
for Power Mac that will be out in the next week.
After these are sold, we should have more by Christmas. These units are
produced in very small numbers and Thrustmaster is selling them direct to
individuals for $199.95. Most distributors will not be able to get them
until the new year!
Our UPS shipping charges are:
West coast $9 - Approx. 1 to 3 days
3 day shipping to the East Coast $19
2 Day shipping to the East Coast $26
1 Day shipping to the East Coast $45
Please forgive the interruption, but we try not to spam too often. This is
going to continue to be a hard to find item, and we are offering it at a
really good price!
Regards ...

I just ordered one of these babies from Autodrome and I can't wait. They
seem like good
people to order from.
I know you PC people have a few years of racing on me, but I soon expect to
be kicking your
ass*s all over the circuit. OK, maybe I'm a bit over zealous, but I
really can't wait.
BTW, any suggestions for net racing of IRC2 and Nascar for macs?
NASCAR Mac has been out for a couple of weeks now.
I bought my Mac T2 direct from Thrustmaster for $149, not $199.
Jim
Have you received The T-2 yet? How do you like it? (is it exactly like
the PC version?)
Any tips? Have you raced over the net, and if so,
can you provide some details?
Please respond in the newsgroup.
Yes, I received it yesterday. It's great! It gives you a lot more
steering control, compared to a joystick. Plus, having variable gas and
brake pedals is nice too.
The only negatives: I find the gas and brake pedals to be too close
together (although I have slightly large feet), and the pedal unit wants
to move around on the floor (although I promptly solved that by screwing
the unit to a piece of wood which I could brace against the wall).
The unit appears to be exactly the same as the PC version, although of
course it comes with ADB connectors and Mac setup software.
I haven't raced over the net yet -- I am not how one would do that. I
have raced across a local network though -- fun.
Jim
