Okay all you lucky ones who have it... how good is it? How is the "new" Talladega?
> Okay all you lucky ones who have it... how good is it? How is the "new" > Talladega? The new Tally is very drivable. Two wide is no problem, not sure if the AI is comfortable with three wide tho. Should be possble for three wide in the TRI on NRL. John (jmullins/vortex)

You actually need to take your foot off the gas entering turn 3... it's going to be fun!

I concur, you do have to burp the throttle (most of the time) going into turn 1 / 3 at taladega. the tri-oval seems good, I just have problems keeping it off of the grass, and it turns well in the corners once you get the car in the corner (sometimes I graze the outside wall). : You actually need to take your foot off the gas entering turn 3... it's : going to be fun! : : > Okay all you lucky ones who have it... how good is it? The best thing you can say about the revamped 'Dega is that it has to be pretty darn close to the real McCoy! The tri-oval is now one of the fastest parts of the track, well banked and able to go 2 or maybe 3 (though I haven't tried it yet) wide. A little more finesse is necessary getting into the corners, the banking doesn't quite forgive as easily as in NR1, and you will slip and start pushing up into the wall. It's also easier to get into the wall coming out of turns 2 and 4 if you're not careful. They've also walled in pit road, so no more lawn mowing for those rule benders <g>. All in all, it's superb!! Now if I can just figure out how to paste the windows net decal over the window in the paintshop (which is also great). Matt Myers "Expressing individualism is just plain wrong!" -- Crow T. Robot --

Speaking of what's shown in the window area, have they taken care of the "invisible driver" problem shown in the demo? Earl

There are definitely drivers in cars when you look out the front window. But there are no drivers in the cars in the mirrors. Dave (davids) Sparks Late Night League http://www.sequoia-dev.com/Hawaii/latenite.html

hehe yea sure a tri oval is the easy turn at dega or Taladega and two wide is when 2 cars r right bside each other later and good racin all

Talladega is not a true oval, it is kinda shaped like a capital D. The bend in the front stretch, it known as the Tri-oval. In the original version of Nascar, this was not simulated very well. It was a very sharp quick turn and really at full speed only one car could go through safely. In the new version, the turn is much longer (sort of a rolling turn) and can easily be taken two or three-wide (2 or 3 cars side by side). -- Emory University Graduate School of Arts & Sciences Nascar Setups Page: http://userwww.service.emory.edu/~ebusch/

Is there anybody else out there using Nascar 2 in a home network enviorment? If so let talk about a few things. Another prblem I have is I can't race my own car I created, it gives you the defualt Sierra car. Another strange thing is that both drivers on their respective screens have the same car that Sierra one. But when we see the other racer through are own screen they have a different car all together, then what they see on their screen. Real strange stuff. Q.B.M.

: Could someone please explain to an F1 guy what is "two wide" and tri.. ^^^^^^^^ The true difference between nascar and indy, F1 races. ;)
