I'm more amazed everyday as to why GP2 sucks like it does, I just learned from a valuable resource that Geoff Crammond's so-called design team didnt even create a modem link for GP2, instead his LAZY-ASS just added an old link from a previous game!!! To BAD we couldnt pay HALF price for a HALF-ASS game. Geoff, I hope you had fun with our money on vacation you incompetent ***!!!!! I hope the nocdrom zip stops your Money flow!!!Why in the hell would you create such a great feeling and graphical sim only too SCAR it by not finishing the DAMN THING?!!! Why would you take such shortcuts!!! Michealangelo never mixed his bowel movements with his paint pigments!! Why would you?!! You ***ing IDIOT!! - DG

Well a fine reply from a less intellegent source! The Bottom line is : we paid FULL price for a HALF-ASS game. If anyone needs to "grow up" its these guys that lay down and dont speak up for the money they have spent and the ***their having to go through to try to get this game to run right. Yeah thats right Microprose has your money and they've givin you something far less than expected. The "TRUE" racing sim fanatics need to DO something to make sure this ***doesnt happen in the future!! The location to sign a petition will be announced in the near future to keep the integrity of RACING SIM'S future. Only the veterans and serious Racin' sim fanatics need to sign! OUR COMPUTERS ARE OUR GUNS, THE NET IS OUR BULLET AND THESE DESIGNERS ARE OUR TARGET!!! We will protect the future of DESIGN!! WE SHALL DEMAND IT! BTW.......nice page! -David Gary

Do you ever watch commercials? They always promise more as the product provide. You bought a product basicly on an advert? O boy. Greetings, Remco

To BAD we couldnt pay HALF You would have rather waited another 3 months for the sim? you're probably one of those that were belly-aching cuz it wasn't out earlier than when it was released. It's easy to criticize... it's hard to find good in something. Anyone can complain... Go #6 Mark Martin,#16 Ted Musgrave & #99 Jeff Burton - Jack Roush Racing!! I don't run GP2, but I am sure that your frustration is well founded. Rather than expressing your personal frustration at the GP2 developers, why not post of list of the unfinished pieces and suggestions as to what should be done. This should include a list of outstanding problems as well. Try also sending the list fo Microprose via e-mail and/or snail-mail. If they are not responsive to your requests and those of other sim racers (I am sure others will join you in this), then let's stop buying their products. Papyrus has been open to suggestions - so far. Some of the features requested appear to making it into NASCAR Racing 2. I have sent them many lists of features, changes etc. I have gotten responses to each. Next step will be to see if they include them, and if not, I will continue to request them. However, I will not swear at them - since they will never listen if I do. If you really feel this product (GP2) is not worth the money, request a refund. This is another option that is open to you. If they refuse, take them to court. Good luck. /THansen > > >I'm more amazed everyday as to why GP2 sucks like it does, I just > > >learned from a valuable resource that Geoff Crammond's so-called design

If anyone needs to "grow up" its these In YOUR Opinion... and you know what they say about opinions? Crap? ***would be touting a racing simulator and getting an arcade game instead. Is this all because you're mad that Geoff Crammond used a routine (modem) from another program? I hate to be the one to enlighten you, but programmers do that ALL THE TIME. That's considered NORMAL, ROUTINE, etc, etc, etc. Of course, I'm sure *YOU* never used something that you had done earlier... I'm sure *YOU* re-invented the wheel everytime... :) Be thankful; a lot of games out there today are basically rewritten themes from an old program. GP2 is a LOT better than GP1 was, although it has a very familiar ring to it. Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day. You must not have been using computers very long. You should try and run Indy500, which when it came out, was VERY state of the art! if you don't think so, load up Grand Prix Circuit by Accolade. (and *that* was hot stuff at one time too!) One step at a time, racing sims are getting better and better. Just like anything else, it takes a little time, patience and hard work, not some loud mouthed punk spouting off and showing their ignorance, stupidity and immaturity. ;> (you wouldn't want people to think of *YOU* that way, would you?) I complained only once but I think there need to be a newgroup called rec.autos.crap.complain.gp2 for everyone to complain in. -- The wise man can pick up a grain of sand and envision a whole universe, but the stupid man will just lay down on some seaweed and roll around until he's completely draped in it. Then he'll stand up and go, "Hey, I'm Vine Man." Jack Handey.

Speaking as a "TRUE" racing sim fanatic, GP2 is a wonderful achievement. Thankfully for every snivelling ungrateful sod out there who thinks that the world was created solely to satisfy their wants, there are at least 10 who thank Geoff Crammond, Papyrus etc for producing great sims that none of us would be able to enjoy without all their hard work. Those of us who have been following Geoff's work since Revs can recognise GP2 as being the latest in the line of great sims that he has produced. It may not be perfect, but the important parts work, and work well. BTW: get the date fixed on your PC's clock and also reduce that max line width. Richard
> we paid FULL price for a HALF-ASS game. I bet you were one of the guys complaining about having to wait for the game. That's what happens when you are pressured to release a game before it is ready. You get a half finished game. Worked fine for me straight out of the box, and the program has not crashed once for me, unlike some other more realistic games. HELLO!! What the hell were you expecting. The smell of *** or something?? Its a game. You can't expect everyone to write a game as complex and painful to play without a full steering wheel set as some other racing sims, you'd sell about 1000 copies. Well maybe the Real sim fanatics should go and spend 4 years writing their own racing sim so I can complain about how long its taken to produce and how poor the graphics and performance are and how much it costs and how unrealistic it is!!!! Have a good holiday Geoff. Some of us out here appreciate your years of work and the ***you have had to put up with.

i see, here we have a real racer, a sportsman. what a load of decency ! its amazing how creative and eloquent he is, i even had to search the dictionary for an adequate term. i finally found a newsgroup about gp2 and the first thing i see is *** like this post. i cant help reposting, because i appreciate the work of geoff crammond very mucho. i have a lot of fun with gp2, as i had a lot of fun with world circuit and stuntcar racer and here is big david gary posting bullshit like this. i dont believe it. this is definitively not my day. wow, what a jerk. addie > I'm more amazed everyday as to why GP2 sucks like it does, I just [bla bla] > bowel movements with his paint pigments!! When you can code so much as one of the routines in that game THEN you can START to THINK about whinging. Until then, shut the hell up. Greg -- Gregory Gladwell - 2nd Year //// [link lost in import] Computer Science Undergraduate //// USER ERROR: University of Essex \\\X/// Replace user and press
