Either I'm thick and am missing something obvious or my computer disagrees
with GPL but I cannot get it to work so I'm throwing in the towel. Thanks
to Malc & JensSchumi for their assistance - actually worked once, but when I
came to it next day it CTD again and no more GPL! If anyone has ANY
suggestions of what to do feel free to e-mail me. Basic system spec is:
Pentium 4 2.8 processor with 512 RAM
Creative Nvidia GeForce4 Ti4600
Creative Audigy Live! Sound Card
Win XP Home
Main error seems to be that GPL can't find OpenGL.dll, only one I can find
is in system32 folder but is OpenGL32.dll. I have file indexing on, and
active - have installed the patches in correct order and have tried both D3D
& OpenGL patches seperately & together and no joy. I have run out of ideas
guys, HELP!!!

Just taking a shot in the dark here...
but you might want to double check your sound options in windows. I
mistakenly left my sound setup on a 5.1 audio setting and GPL would not run
for no money. Once I changed to a 4 speaker setup - Quadraphonic speaker
setup, (which is what I had) GPL ran like a charm.
I don't even know if GPL works on higher settings or not, it may depend on
the sound card and such.

Get the nVidia 45.23 drivers here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp-2k_45.23.html
Remove your current drivers & install these instead.
Then make sure you have the file called rendogl.dll in your gpl folder
(the OpenGL patch), and give it a go.
If you still have the same problem (can't find opengl.dll) I only have
one other suggestion. Back in the 3DFX days it was fairly common to copy
one of the dlls from the system folder to the game folder & rename it to
opengl.dll.
You're right that it should be using opengl32/dll instead, but I don't
know whether copying & renaming it would work, or whether you need to do
it with nvoglnt.dll instead. Give it a go, and remember to copy, not
move ;-)
Malc.
try copying it to your gpl directory and naming it opengl.dll
