I was attempting to modem race tonight for the first time and had some
problems that were quite aggrevating. We both were running 1.21 and our
modems were set to 28.8 all the options(#cars cars drawn race length
etc) were set the same. At first when I called him all the cars would
dis-appear then re-appear and the phone icon was flashing periodically.
So he called me, this seemed to solve the problem as the phone icon
stopped flashing and we practiced and qualified no problem, but when we
went to race he said his screen went blank and all the cars dis-appeared
and the when they re-appeared he was like in the middle of a car all
crashed out? We were running with pace lap on so we decided to try w/out
the pace lap. So he hung up and called me back, now the real aggrevation
began.. the phone icon started to flash on and off again causing him to
dis-appear and re-appear,we tried everything we could think of from
reducing the # of cars to the modem spped with no luck! Would inclement
weather outside cause this flashing problem(which I assume was our
connection being interrupted for a split second) and also why when we go
to race would his screen go blank and then come back on with him right
on top of another car??
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED-

Try to use 14.4 or 19.9 as your modem settings. Might help clean things up!
