The graphics are quite a bit improved. It's hard to be specific, but
the driver's view seems more realistic. A bit slow though - I presume
performance will be better in the final game.
The interior of the car is a different story - so dark I can't even
read several gauges, includind speed and RPMs. And there's no way to
tell what gear I'm in. This definitely needs to be fixed.
I like the audio, it's helpful to have the announcer tell you what's
going on around the track (i.e., it will tell you "there's a crash in
turn 3", so you can watch out for it.
The simulation and driving feel seems the same. Combined with Hawaii,
overall I think it will be a worthwhile upgrade (assuming they can fix
the modem related problems in Hawaii - I never was able to get it to
race).

Have you guys noticed that the spotter always referres left-hand-side
as being 'low' and vice versa, as if you're always racing on ovals?
This is really annoying at Glen, when I pass an AI under braking into
T1 and the spotter goes: "car low", when it's in fact on the outside
of the curve ... I hope papy fixes this ...

that's a good point... personally, I would wish for my spotter to keep
it like the ovals, because the majority of the races are run this way,
and what's "low" now might be "high" next turn, and the spotter might
get this confused, or worse yet, I would get it confused. to me,
"low" should be left, and "high" should be to the right. that way I
don't get crossed up. subconciously (sp?), I would tend to move to
the right if the spotter said "car low"... no matter where I am racing
at...

I've notice that the spotter sometimes thinks there is trouble when the
cars bunch up under yellow. I guess he's just to e***d over the
incident that brought out the yellow ;-)
