GP2 - Why not use Auto?

There has been much debate over 'real time' racing. It is obvious that if you max out your settings, you can kick ass out of your best time. Because you travel slower, you can brake in a much shorter distance as well as gauge good control into and out of corners. For instance, I hit 1.22 at monza constantly. When I increased the graphics, I hit a 1.19. No change in car settings. I assume if I frig around, I can get it faster. SOoooo....I suggest a sought of comprimise until we can get Geoff to include it in a patch. If we all use the automatic setting as advised for graphic details, at least we should be all on the same foot. I would like to interogate a hotlap to get information such as control method, machine specs, AND detail level the hotlap was recorded in. Then we can have a competition! You will be able to see those who are running the game on a DX33 with all graphics on and getting super fast times and those running it at the recommended frame rate based on the machines configuration. Because of this reason I put the fps, Occupancy levels, details, and machine specs on my site. It contains tables of the 10 best times for each track, including this info. So if you're looking for REAL lap times, you should take a look. I'm at: http://www.worldonline.nl/~flucas/index.html Greetz, Frits
