STEALTH 64 VRAM SLOW ?

HI EVERYONE, I OWN A P100 WITH 24MB RAM, STEALTH 64 VIDEO VRAM (PCI 3240) ETC. WITH GP2 I GET A SYSTEM SPEED OF 194 AND A VIDEOSPEED OF JUST 163. IS THE STEALTH 64 SUCH A BAD CARD UNDER DOS ? DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGESTIONS TO SPEED UP MY SYSTEM ? READ OTHER ARTICLES IN WHICH VIDEO SPEEDS WHERE MUCH HIGHER (ROUNDABOUT 400 OR SO ON EQUAL SYSTEMS) SEEMS TO ME THAT A TRIO 64 CARD (MUCH CHEAPER) IS FASTER THAN THIS F"""ING STEALTH CARD. PLEASE HELP ME OUT, THANX

Do not worry... I had the same reaction about 3 weeks ago. I got an ET6000 and S3 Virge based card on loan from my PC supplier and tested them with GP2, nascar and ICR2. Same with Windows benchmarks. My diamond still ended up eitheir being equal or slighty under (quake -5%) , and sometimes much quicker (ICR2 got 25 FPS instead of 20 for the two test cards and WINBENCH). Don't forget to run S3SPDUP with options VGA VESA, it does help a lot. Keep your card for now (until games use 3D cards at least), I now realise after switching cards on and off that it is indeed a very good one. JFD

Although the Stealth64 VRAM does score less high in DOS ( Without UNIVBE ) this has no great impact on the speed of the game.
