I am thinking of getting the same P100 to P166 upgrade but what exactly do you gain? How much? Tanker

Textures on; kerbs, fences, track, banks, trackside objects Plot in mirrors: fences, verge, track, bank, smoke texture in mirrors: none Trackside: low, 18.2 frames/sec Trackside: medium, 16.0 frames/sec You should find these the best compromise for overall gameplay. There will still be occasional slowdowns, but otherwise its quite good in traffic.

What if you turn down _all_ detail in the mirrors? (they aren't there to admire the landscape :-) ) Should make a big difference. Haha, its a novelty to have mirror details after so long with out them. The difference between say just track and track, verges, fences isn't very much, but having _all_ off does make a difference. I'd revise the above to: No mirrors Trackside: low, 21.3 fps Trackside: Medium, 18.2 fps For tracks such as Imola, Monaco, Germany, Monza, Adelaide with medium detail I wouldn't recommend any more than 16fps. These estimates might seem low but there is a reason. I recommend lower fps because I really like to avoid slow-motion mode as it affects my rhythm; which I need more than ever when passing.
