Been seeing alot flyin around lately about frame rates, vidoe cards
etc, and thought I'd pass along the setup that works for me.
I am running Nascar 1.12 on a 486\66 DX2-S
16 meg ram
4x CD
256k cache
2meg Stealth 64 Vram
Soundblaster Pro
I am able to use my regular boot up which loads everything, cd,
scanner, video, mouse, windows for workgroups 3.11 etc, etc. And I
have the following options set in NCR:
Graphics:
Grass texture = OFF
Object Texture = ON
Grandstand Texture = OFF (shows stands but no crowd)
Wall texture = OFF
Horizon Texture = OFF
Car texture = ON
Smoke/Dirt = ON
Skids/Paint = ON
Min Frame rate set to 13 (actualy get about 15fps)
Max set at 30
Opponents:
7 drawn ahead
1 drawn behind
2 heard
Sound:
volumne works for me)
This runs nice and smooth in svga using digitized sound NOT fm.
