Running GP2 without the CD for Null Modem type games

1 post by 1 person · 04 Aug 1996 - 04 Aug 1996

If you run GP2 with these options you save pure space (and can use the UART properly): gp2 nointro nomusic use16550 cd:e Having done an optimal install (56Meg I think) all you need is a partition on the HD (drive e: or something) with the GP2/CIRCUITS directory on it. There is a huge (215 MB) file in it which is all (!) you need. (you don't need the full 540Meg that's on the CD) It says mscdex/CD not detected. How do I con the game into thinking e: (or maybe c: without having to partition it) is the CD? Anyone know?
