Rubens Barichello, the fastest in Portugal? - GP2 Bug...

2 posts by 2 people · 27 Jul 1996 - 29 Jul 1996

I don't know if I am the first to encounter this problem but it looks like a bug to me... Yesterday I was playing with a friend and at the end of a (pitiful) race in Portugal we wanted to see the records... But we then saw that the qualifying record was held by Rubens Barichello at over 2 minutes!!! The qualif times are around 1:40 or less (sorry I don't remember exactly) so this is a bit strange... Am I the only one who encountered this problem? Or are the records only the times recorded for the 1994 season??? BTW GP2 runs smooth in SVGA on a p100 with textures on track and curbs, only smoke in mirrors, about 15 fps (I know some poeple don't consider 15 fps as "smooth" but I think it's quite playable).

Rubens Barrichello was on pole in the 1994 Belgium race, not Portugal. His time of 2:21 or so was due to a very wet qualifying session, I believe. Also, Eau Rouge had a chicane that year.
