Can anyone tell me a good setup for modem play.
My friend and I are play the game and it runs like crap!
We are running in SVGA mode with just about eveything turned off and about
13 frames a sec and it still sucks!
I have a P166 with 24 meg ram, 4mb Matrox Mill. 3d graphic' s card quad
speed cd-rom.
My friend has a P120 with 16 meg ram, and a 1mb video card six speed
cd-rom.
Now I know with my P166 We should be able to run the game at least half
way nice, but we can't with have tryed just about every possible
configuration even put the detail level on automatic nothing please help.
Also the computer AI is impossible to beat we are on rookie level and ca't
evn finish in the top 20, on gp1 on rookie level we won just about every
race, now nothing!
PS. We are using a US robotic's 23.8 and a Best data 28.8 we both have the
uart 16550 chip too.
