Endless GP2 Announcements

C'mon folks! Do we really need to have endless announcements that like "GP2 IS OUT IN LOWER SLOBOVIA!!!!!!"? If it's available in your area, then go buy it, play it, and then post your questions, concerns, etc. and leave out the "WOW!!!! IT'S SO COOL I WET MY PANTS WHILE PLAYING GP2!!!" -- Bob Landry "So long....and thanks for all the fish!"

says... Christ... some people. Don't know about you Bob, but this is the place I watched for clues on the GP2 US release. Posts concerning availability were quite helpful, rants against Microprose were less so. If we lived thru the birth of Hawaii, we'll get thru this as well. In the meantime if you don't want to read such post just configure your newsreader to ignore them. Anyway, I thought that M. Carver was the official Usenet Censor -- Simulator Division. :) Go pee on someone else's parade ... eric

Bravo, Mike! I got a bit naffed off with all the Hawaii oriented posts when that started, but I just set up a kill file to ignore any posts with 'Hawaii' in the subject line. It's almost foolproof. We can live together as one group (oo-er, that's asking for it) if we just show a little consideration. One thing I will say, however, is that I object to GP2 hot-laps being posted here. They should be in alt.binaries.simulators.autos. Oh yeah, and let's all try to put the name of the game we're talking about in the subject header, ok? Peace, everyone. They've had to put up with all of the ICR2/NASCAR/NFS/HAWAII posts for quite some time. They are just in a partying mood. It will all die down soon. so don't swet it... It's their newsgroup too. Good attitude, Mike! There's another way to look at it, too... If you can't beat 'em, join 'em! Go buy GP2 and see what all the fuss is about! This isn't a zero-sum game; if you play GP2, it won't mysteriously delete all your Papyrus sims or prevent you from installing new ones. Anyone who takes computer sims seriously owes it to himself to check this game out, if for no reason other than to compare it to the Papyrus sims...it's not as if new driving simulations (emphasis on the sim-part) are released every week! I'm glad people post messages about when and where they buy just released software. I'ts one of the reasons I read r.a.s. BTW you don't have to read any messages that don't interest you.
