Latest word on GP Manager patch- forwarded to me by Phil McDonnell.
BTW- credit given me is not due solely to me- I collected a lot of
comments from all those who want to see this game become what it
should be.

Dear Mike,
The attached message comes from Justin Manning:
*******************************************************************************
We really appreciate your feedback here at Microprose on GPM -
although we promised a patch ages ago, my 6 week abscense and the
testing of GP2 has put things back. Now both of those are no longer a
problem there is a team working on the patch full time. We have had
three to four versions of the patch to date but are still not
satisfied (this could be the last patch, but don't quote me on this,
so we want to get it right). AS for a time scale, I am not making any
more predictions (events seem to conspire against me) so all I will
say is that we are keen to satisfy you GPM fans as soon as is humanly
possible.
When the patch arrives, I will post up a list of fixes - the majority
of these will be direct responses to comments made by everyone on
Compuserve (pre***ly yourself) and the ones we have found in
testing.
I am catching up on the months work I've missed so I am only passing
your recent comments on today to the team (10/07/96-July 10). I am
having problems with my compuserve connection due to a change in
offices i.e. I am getting someone else to send you this), so if you
want to pass the word on then feel free.
Yours,
Justin Manning (MPS-UK QA)
