Today I saw on RPM-2nite on espn2 the grand opening of the Daytona USA
theme-park, and one segment they found Richard Petty puttering around
with the Papyrus sim and wheel/pedals
At Daytona.
Not a hacked Dega, but the honest to goodness thing. Looked pretty
darn convincing, too.
Anyway, I'm not gonna start whining and crying for Papyrus to spit the
track out or anything, but I have to say the following.
It's been done, it's been done well. NASCAR is in on the game.
They're gonna want it in the next generation sim and odds are Papyrus
will be allowed to include it before too long.
Bottom line: after seeing Petty playing on Daytona, a hacked Dega
just doesn't cut it anymore. I'm waiting for the real thing.

We won't find out until April 97...when Sega's license expires.
