Well, if it *really* was going to be released in 9 days time - 6
working days - we'd have MPS announcing it going Gold or whatever, as
they did with Civ II, here, on their web site, on Compuserve, etc.
However, not a cheep has been heard from official sources, although we
still get stories about MPS taking advertising at Silverstone.
Maybe, it is just a press launch - get Damon Hill, Murray Walker and a
few other bods to thrash round the track, Geoff Crammond in
attendance, free drinks for all the hacks, machines for the great
unwashed to try out, etc.
But no product, just the usual MPS "soon, but released when it's
ready".
And we'll see another rash of threads like. "I played GP2 at
Silverstone", "MPS SUX", "I want to have Geoff Crammond's babies".
Quite frankly, I've given up getting e***d about it. I'll know for
sure from this group or CI$ a couple of days before it really, truly
appears in the shops. I've seen no hard evidence from here that it can
be released by next weekend.
Although I'll be quite happy to be proved totally wrong.
