This is probably old news, but I spoke to the customer service
department at Sybex several months ago after seeing "NASCAR Tips &
Techniques" in a bookstore, and inquired about a future pressing of
the same guide for us IndyHeads. They told me that the book would be
released at the end of March, but numerous trips to the bookstore
yielded nada. I spoke to the same department at Sybex last week, and
they informed me that the book had been cancelled.
The information that probably would have been in the book is of course
pretty rudimentary for most of you out there, but I am wondering if we
could organize some kind of NON-INFLAMMATORY campaign to either
convince the publisher to proceed with original plans or for the
already prepared text to be published on-line for all us IndyHeads.
If you feel your skills would be above this book anyway, just think of
how much better we all are with a high level of competition, and a
book like this could really get some IndyLights guys (like me) into
the big leagues...
