ICR2 direct-connect problems

1 post by 1 person · 14 Jun 1996 - 14 Jun 1996

Fellow racers, Team RatNotDead is having serious problems using ICR2 in multi-player mode. We have 2 pentiums connected by a serial cable. The game works fine throughout practice/qualify/warmup BUT when we are actually racing, and one of the players goes into the pits we get the dreaded LOST CONNECTION message. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know how to fix it? Our setup is as follows. Pentium 1: 120 Mhz Serial Link on COM1 IRQ4 BaudRate 38400 Pentium 2: 83 Mhz Serial Link on COM2 IRQ3 BaudRate 38400 Both computers have the same setup as far as graphics/#of opponents/Realism/etc. Any hepl will be greatly appreciated. Please email me with any ideas... Thanks. Scott Fisher Team RatNotDead Driver
