I wonder if there would be any interest in running 100% race series on the Hawaii network. If your currently on the network and would like tp participate send me email and let me know the type of race and when, ie Forced setup? No, arcade, or realistic damage? tracks miminum skill levels? rules.

Too rich for my ***. Would love to when they get the schedule of fees established along with hourly or fixed rates. Andrew

How many of you on Hawaii have run 20+ 5% pickup races? Consider the online time involved. I usually spend 10 or 15 minutes waiting for a suitable race and if the servers are loaded down more than that. Most of the pick ups I've been involved in weren't very much fun, in many of them your only hope is to qualify up front and hope you don't get taken out by a lapper near the end. These sprints encourage risk taking. Finishing a 100% race requires a completely different approach.

I agree completely. I logged on for the first time last night, and found only 5% races, I was dissapointed. I found that my best setups were geared toward longer (50%+) races and I did poorly in the "sprints" as a result. From their conversations I gathered most of these guys are running what I would consider "qualify" setups. Now I'm not that _great_ in the first place, but I would definitely rather run one long pickup race, that a lot of short ones. As I get more comforatble with the system, (and the tracks) I plan the initiate long pickup races. Actually I live in Los Angeles. About as far away from Boston as you can get in the 48 states. I've run up some pretty good bills running frustrating 5% sprints. I think eventually a lot of the users will get tired of running 5% Talladega races over and over. Of course I might be wrong, in that case I'll find another way to spend my dispossable $. Maybe kart racing. The expense is probably close to the same.

Join a league, it's the only way to go. You race with the same drivers, get to know each other, and learn to drive door-to-door. It's an incredible experience to drive around Martinsville in a pack of cars, two-wide, lap after lap and nobody wrecks. The only way that works is for everyone to be able to hold their line and for everyone to trust that the other driver will hold the line. And when it does, it's a beautiful thing! ^^^^^^^^^^^ ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ the key point here, is to be a back marker (like myself--I still haven't figured how to get those 195.xxx laps!) You qualify poorly, start the race, and watch 85% of the impatient people up front crash each other out! I finished 4 out of 6 races in the top 4 because of this! They're not bugs! They're random features!
